Mr. James A. Woods was first inspired to invent the "Woods Pyramid Game" as a result of wanting a new type of game. When he was in the Army, he marveled at the structure of the pyramids and the legends behind them. It occurred to him that the pyramids concept could be utilized to create a fun strategy board game. Intrigued by this idea, he began designing The "Woods Pyramid Game"He then tested the game during his active duty in Kuwait, where Mr. Woods asked the Corps of Engineers, who build facilities for the military to make a wooden board to play the concept of his game. The Woods Pyramid game was introduced and tested with the soldiers who ranked from Private to Lieutenant Colonel, from all nationalities and backgrounds who began to enjoy Woods Pyramid Game. At that time, a prototype for this game had not been produced. The board was made out of wood and checker pieces were used as the moving pieces. It was well noted that the Woods Pyramid Game was one of the most checked out games at the Recreation Center. He knew then he had a “Hot” product that would later make it to the marketplace to be shared by many more players from all ages. He then created a successful prototype that has since been played successfully and with much enjoyment.
